Epson Scanner Mac Not Working
Many printers and scanners use driverless technologies such as airprint or ipp everywhere, which don't require additional drivers on your mac.. The epson scan software does not work with mavericks, so i canb't use the scanner. i have updated to the latest versio of epson scan from the epson web site. it still does not work. i expect apple has to provide driver files. maybe it's something else.. Based on all the raves i purchased vuescan to work with os x 10.2.1 and my new epson perfection 2450. even though my scanner is listed as supported by vuescan, as suggested on vuescan's site, i tried it out before purchasing and despite some completely off auto crops, it seemed to work..
I set up my product on a network, but the scan to pc, scan to email, and scan to pdf features do not work. what should i do? i see the message scanner not ready or epson scan will not start in windows or on my mac.. Uninstalling and reinstalling the scanner software several times using the "latest" software (from 2014) from the epson download page which is explicitly meant to be used with os x 10.11 (scanner driver and epson scan utility v3.4.9.9) did not help.. I have an epson perfection v39 scanner that is not getting power when it is connected to either a usb 3.0 or 2.0 port. i know the scanner is fine because it works every time i connect it to my mac..
