ThinkwareTutorial Saving Footage On A Windows PC

Recorded some exciting footage with your dash cam and want to save them to look at later? Continue reading below for a step-by-step tutorial on how to do exactly that on a Windows PC!

NOTE: The method in this tutorial will only save a single video file at a time. If you want to save multiple files, please follow the same process for each one.

STEP 1: Insert the MicroSD card into the computer and open the PC Viewer software. You can download the PC Viewer for free from our website here.

STEP 2: Filter through the video files under the "Playlist" tabs to locate the file you want to save.

NOTE: if your dash cam set up has more than one camera, you can toggle between the two to be displayed on the main screen. Learn more about the PC Viewer interface with this video here.

STEP 3: Once you have selected a video file, click on the "Save" button.

NOTE: The front and accessory camera footage are separate files from each other. If you would like to to save video files from the front and accessory camera, please do so individually by following the same process.

STEP 4: A dialog box should pop up. At this point, select where on your Windows PC you would like to save the file. Please note that it may be helpful to rename the file to something that is easily identifiable.

STEP 5: Click "Save" and youre done! You have successfully saved dash cam footage onto your Windows computer!
